Overview
Web Call Preview lets you start a live, two-way voice conversation with your AI assistant directly from the Call Agent AI dashboard. It’s the fastest way to hear how your assistant sounds, responds, and behaves before deploying it to real callers.
With Web Call Preview, you can:
Instantly test any assistant without a phone number
Hear the exact voice and personality customers will experience
Validate prompts, tone, and conversation flow
Test knowledge base responses, SMS/email triggers, and bookings
Verify Zoho CRM–connected assistants with full functionality
Review full transcripts inside Call Logs
This guide explains how to access Web Call Preview, run test calls, and understand usage and billing.
Requirements
Before using Web Call Preview, ensure you have:
Account
Call Agent AI account (trial or paid)
Permissions
Access to the assistant you want to test
Assistant
At least one assistant with an AI model and voice configured
Browser
Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari
Microphone
Working microphone and audio output
Usage Limits
Trial: 15 total minutes · Paid: Unlimited (billed per minute)
1. Access Web Call Preview
There are two ways to open Web Call Preview.
Option A: From the Assistants List
Log into your Call Agent AI dashboard
Click Assistants in the left sidebar
Find the assistant you want to test
Click Preview on the assistant card
You’ll be taken to the Edit Assistant page with Web Call Preview available
Option B: From the Edit Assistant Page
Go to Assistants
Click any assistant to open Edit Assistant
At the top of the page, locate the button labeled “Hear the AI in action”
What you should see: A purple / gradient button with a microphone icon labeled “Hear the AI in action.”
2. Start a Web Call
Begin a live voice conversation with your assistant.
Click “Hear the AI in action”
When prompted, allow microphone access
The button changes to “AI is talking… tap to end”
Your assistant speaks its configured greeting
Speak naturally — the assistant listens and responds in real time
Visual Indicators
Green glow
Your voice is being captured
Amber / orange glow
The assistant is speaking
Pulsing animation
Call is active
Result: You’re now having a real voice conversation with your AI assistant, exactly as callers would.
3. End the Web Call
Click “AI is talking… tap to end”
The call immediately stops
The button resets to “Hear the AI in action”
The conversation is automatically saved to Call Logs
Result: Audio stops and the full conversation is logged and transcribed.
4. View Web Calls in Call Logs
To review your test call:
Click Call Logs in the left sidebar
Find the call labeled “Web Call” (shown with a blue badge)
Click the entry to expand details
