Requirements
Before installing the plugin, ensure you have:
WordPress
Version 5.0+
PHP
Version 7.4+
HTTPS / SSL
Required for microphone access & voice calls
Browsers
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions recommended)
Call Agent AI Account
Create one at https://admin.callagentai.com
Admin Access
Required for plugin upload & settings
1. Create Your Call Agent AI Account
Click Sign Up
Complete the registration form
Confirm your email
Log into your dashboard
2. Set Up Your AI Assistant
Navigate to Assistants in the left sidebar
Click Create New Assistant
Fill in the required details:
Assistant Name
Greeting
Voice (optional if using chat-only)
Personality / Prompt
AI Model
Click Save
This assistant is what your website widget will use.
3. Get Your Plugin Credentials
To connect Wordpress → Call Agent AI, you need:
API Token (User Token)
Assistant ID
You’ll find these under your assistant’s Plugin Settings / Integration Settings.
Keep these values secure.
4. Install the Plugin on WordPress
Download the plugin ZIP file (
ai-call-agent.zip).Log into your WordPress admin:
Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
Upload the ZIP file
Click Install Now
Click Activate
You will now see Call Agent AI Web Agent in your plugin list.
5. Configure the Plugin
Go to Settings → CallAgentAI or click Settings under the plugin name.
5.1 Enter Your Credentials
API Token → paste from your CallAgentAI dashboard
Assistant ID → paste from your dashboard
5.2 Choose Widget Behavior
You can customize:
Widget Position
Bottom-right (recommended), bottom-left, top-right, top-left
Features
Chat only, Voice only, or Chat + Voice
Enable Widget
Turn the widget on / off
Click Save Settings.
6. Add Your Website URL (CORS Configuration)
This step is required for your website to securely communicate with Call Agent AI.
Go to admin.callagentai.com → Assistants
Select your assistant
Open Plugin Settings / CORS Settings
Add your domain:
Include HTTPS
No trailing slash
Click Save.
Without this step, your widget will not load.
7. Test Your Installation
7.1 Desktop Test
Visit your live website
Look for the floating widget
Test Chat
Test Voice Call (allow microphone access)
7.2 Mobile Test
Recommended for ensuring UI responsiveness.
